Every year, couples all over the Washington Metropolitan Area are nominated for induction into the Black Marriage Day Hall of Fame for their commitment to their marriage. We will honor couples who have led by example, holding together their marriages for decades, and whose enduring bond inspires us. These couples do not necessarily have a perfect relationship, but they have worked at building and strengthening their marriage.  The Hall of Fame Couples have deemed their relationships “worth it.”  They know what it takes to be successful – working through their struggles, practicing healthy communication, and consistently demonstrating love and respect to one another.
